Why Diploma students should not be allowed to have laptops in the Dp room

Introduction

Dp students have started to complain about the idea that we cant us are Laptops in the Dp room. The DP room is not an appropriate place for students to work effectively and should not be a place where laptops are allowed. Instead students can bring there things to the library when they want to work.


Reason 1 -don't work effectively

If students are in the Dp room have too many distraction to many temptions no supervision that can lead to students go on innapropriate websites or maybe listen to music.

Reason 2 - distracting others

When there is a lot of students in one room you know that your not going to work as effectively as you could if you where alone. For example you get stuck in math and are to lazy to go to an teacher and ask for help so you turn around and see what the other students are up to and starting to talk to them.

Reason 3

When the students have internet its there responsibility to not go on any other websites then they are suppose to. If you now go on another website you know that the other students are going to be distracted or maybe going to do the same thing as you.

Concession

Students of course like the idea of having there own room for them self. I feel like they can take care of them self. Don’t need to have a teacher to check on them all the time if they are doing their work or not, just show that they are responsible

The library is a bigger room than the Diploma room so you can work more effectively if you have more space. It’s also a better and quiet work place. There is always a teacher in the library that can check so no one can make too much noise or help with the things you’re working on.

Conclusion

The library is a better work place it has everything that the Diploma room has. Also teachers are there to help you. The students will get more done in the library then in the Dp room because even if they now don’t go on other websites we know that it will be harder for them to do it in the library then in the Dp room.

How Diploma students could create an appropriate environment for laptops in the Dp room. Students from Dp don’t want to go to the library just to go on the internet, instead they want the teacher to trust that you doing the work your supposed to.Dp don’t want to spend all their time in the library when they have their own room. The Dp room makes the whole thing feel more responsible.


Reason 1

Don’t go on website that you’re not supposed to go on. Finish the work in school instead of having to do it at home. Teacher can trust the student that they will work if we don’t do any of this its only are own fault so, why does it matter where we sit. We can go on other website in the library to if we really feel like it.

Reason 2

Take responsibility of your time. Also tell other students to work instead of just sitting there. If they don’t care you can go and tell a teacher or go to the library. When students are talking or putting something on we tell them to turn it off, but if they just go on Facebook or Skype we don’t care because it doesn’t disturb any one that’s their own problem.

Reason 3

If the Diploma student really want to be in the Dp room and the teachers still don’t believe that they will work then they can block the websites that they think the students are going on just to make sure that they will work.


Conclusion

This whole thing is about responsibility and so far we haven’t had the chance to show that we can’t work in there. The teachers have to let the Dp students show that they can
get work done in there. Not assume that the students are doing other stuff and that this is the way to change it.

The uniform editorial

More schools are now making students wear uniforms, to make the school look more organizied and better.

The uniforms make everyone look the same. You get bored by seeing it everyday. You feel more depressed.

The uniforms are ugly which leads to the students feeling more depressed and bored. Students can never show if they have bought something new. If you have to go somewhere after school it's just a lot of work to bring other clothes to school just because of the uniform.  (Reason 1, Reason 2 Reason 3)

The uniform looks ugly. You have to see everyone wear the same clothes for a year. You can never see who a person really is or what kind of style they actually have.

The uniforms have there upsides to, school uniforms make the school look more elegant and better.  You can seperate the classes with class colors for the uniform which makes it easier for teachers and other students to distinguish the different grades.

Everyday you have to wear the same clothes, its a hassle making sure you comform to the school dressers. The uniforms are white so you have to be careful so you dont get the shirt dirty, and the white color makes the clothes dirty faster.

Uniforms are something the schools should take away so you can show who you really are. The uniforms are making students bored and depressed. If students want to show if they have new clothes they have to wait until after school.

While it may be true that more time given to physical education classes and team sports means less time for other classes, the benefits of sports is that energy and healther witch leads to more energy in class and while doing homework  this will in fact lead to better grades

Sports are not only for exercise. Students also to get to know other people from other classes and meet new friends. For the students that are usually lonely can maybe give them a chance to know someone new. Sports is a easy way to get to know new people just cuse the team work and no one really cars how a person is or what they usually do when you play. (Reason 1, Reason 2 Reason 3)

Exercise if you live in India you don't really have other peritonitis to go and exercise.
With out any exercise it can lead to dipression. (Good reason)

Miss a lot of school, that can lead to bad grads or maybe not turning in the homework every time. And the school work leads to a future when sports are just for the students to have some fun.  (Make concession)

All this exerice and work out leads to an Healthier and more energy full person. When you have convinst your self to do all this workout you will have as an habit like something you fell like you have to do everyday. Then it will be easy to convis your self to do the homework to. Reasonable people see a difference between using marijuana to treat the symptoms of a serious illness and passing out joints on a playground. Yet both acts, under current law, are criminal.  (hook)

State lawmakers can fix that by passing a pending bill, which in previous years has been shot down, that would legalize the medical use of marijuana by people with cancer, HIV, Crohn’s disease and several other illnesses. (introduction)

Fifteen other states and the District of Columbia have legalized medical marijuana, which has been shown to reduce the nausea and vomiting that are typical side effects of anti-cancer drugs. It also is effective in improving the appetite of AIDS patients, treating the pain of multiple sclerosis and treating the pressure within the eye caused by glaucoma. A measure before the Illinois House would allow people with specific medical conditions to purchase marijuana from not-for-profit dispensaries, so long as they have proof of medical need from their doctor. Lawmakers should not fear that supporting this bill will make them look soft on crime.

The tourists are back, the commercial and recreational fishing industries are at work again and the Gulf of Mexico’s waters still gently lap the white sands of Florida’s west coast. Tar balls are few and far between again in the Panhandle, and life is largely back to normal one year after the nation’s worst oil spill began on April 20. (Hook, Introduction)

But what appears to be normalcy a year after British Petroleum’s Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded, killing 11 men and, ultimately, spewing an estimated five million barrels of oil into the Gulf, masks the ongoing damage from the massive spill. And, with a gallon of gas at $4, the rush is on once more to expand deep drilling for oil and gas in the Gulf. (background information)

Few lessons have been learned, it appears, from the summer of gushing crude fouling one of the nation’s great fisheries. Congress has refused to act on the recommendations offered by a presidential commission, co-chaired by Florida’s former U.S. Sen. Bob Graham, to tighten drilling regulations. Instead, a U.S. House committee just passed three bills to give the drilling industry quicker and wider access to the Gulf. Frightening. (State your position) (reason, specific)

One bright note is that the U.S. Department of Interior has steadily improved its drilling regulations without waiting for Congress to act. There are new safety measures, like requiring the development of deep-water containment systems for blowouts, and tougher, more-independent oversight.

As for the Gulf itself, scientists agree that a lot of the oil has evaporated, been skimmed or eaten by microbes. Still, some oil sank, and it is smothering coral beds and continues to take a toll on wildlife. Their decision has elicited both praise and criticism from legal experts, leaving Floridians to scratch their heads but hope for the best.

Ultimately, the Deepwater Horizon spill looked like an environmental and economic disaster of epochal proportions. Happily, it didn’t live up to the worst expectations. That said, the country as a whole must share responsibility to make sure that this Gulf spill is the last one of any magnitude to sully our shores. (Conclusion)
