Quake Strikes Japan, Alters Earth's Axis

On Friday, March 11, at 2:45 in the afternoon the earthquake started. The earth quake had such a force that it made the houses crumple and the power went off.

The earthquake also caused a Tsunami that swapt over parts of japan and cause a lot of damage.

Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan said after 65 years after the end of world war 2 this is the biggest crisis for japan

Even if japan are located in a geologically unstable part they where still well prepared for any earthquakes.

The Pacific plat moves about 3,5 inches per year and its going under the North American plate.
 
Tsunamis waves that were 33 feet high struck traveled up to six miles over land

The New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii and the entire Pacific coast of North, South and Latin America. dose countries have been warned for an incoming Tsunamis.

Nuclear power plant got damage by the earthquake.

More then 45 countries have offered to help japan including United Stats have offered to help japan.

Several humanitarian groups, including World Vision, the American Red Cross  and the Salvation Army, have personnel in the affected areas providing food, water, medical supplies and shelter for victims.
